Leslie G. Blair

Leslie Gene Blair, formerly of Troy, PA, died unexpectedly on December 29, 2016 at the age of 67 while home visiting family in the Troy area.  Les is survived by his life partner, Karen Ousley, brother, James Blair of Loudon, TN, sisters, Susan Borek of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, Nancy Teribury of Troy, PA, Faye Blair of Houston, TX, uncles, James Schrader, Thomas Jenkins, aunt, Joanne Olmstead, nephews, Earl (Rachel)Teribury, Kyle Borek, Kane (Samantha) Borek, nieces, Elizabeth (John) Watson, Lindsay (Brett) Chesshir, grand nephews, Trevon Teribury, Eason Teribury, Trey Teribury, Pryor Teribury, John Watson, Evan Chesshir, Jude Watson, grand nieces, Delaney Borek, Hailee Chesshir and Blair Teribury.

Les was born March 23, 1949 in Troy, PA to Lorton and Hilda Blair.  He graduated from Troy High School, where he was an accomplished athlete and later Mansfield University.  He went on to have successful careers in education and the financial lending industry.  He retired as the bank manager and Vice President of United Community Bank, Tellico Village, TN.  He was also a member of the Rotary and Kiwanis.

Les was an avid golfer and also enjoyed playing basketball and pickle ball.  He took great pleasure in spending time with his grand nephews and nieces.  He was a lifelong learner and traveled most of the 50 states exploring natures wonders.  In his spare time he enjoyed watching sports and he was a fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Steelers.  He was a member of The First Baptist Church of Tellico Village, TN.  He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.  

The family will have a private service, and then an open house at the Blair home at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Western Alliance in his memory.
