Jo Ann Tuma

Jo Ann “Jodi” Tuma, Age 66, of Elmira formerly of Corning, NY lost her battle with lung cancer on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at home surrounded by her close family. Jodi was born February 27, 1950 in Corning, NY daughter of the late George and Helen (Frost) Button. She was a graduate of Corning High School and Corning Community College. Jodi is survived by her daughter, Melissa Rainone and her son Michael (Janie) Tuma. Jodi loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, Laura Batchelder, Josh Batchelder, Dennis Skay, Hayden Tuma, and Ruben Tuma. Her grandchildren brought much joy into her life and her expert cooking skills were enjoyed by all. In her spare time she enjoyed Steven King and J. K. Rowling novels, hockey games and spend time with her loving family.

She is also survived by her life partner Keith Stahle who was by her side through her entire battle with cancer. Jodi also leaves behind her canine companions Chewy and Max.

Jodi was predeceased by her parents and two brothers and sister-in-law, David (Victoria) Button and Steven Button.

Jodi was a fan of both country and rock music, and just after being diagnosed with cancer was able to take a cruise with Keith and a family vacation to Myrtle Beach. Jodi had previously work as a bank teller at the Chemung Canal Trust Company.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, October 7, 2016 at the Bradford County Memorial Park, Route 6, Luthers Mills, PA. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street, Troy, PA 16947.
