Cora M. Roby

Cora M. Roby, Age 90, of Route 6 Troy, PA, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at the Troy Community Hospital. Cora was born December 23, 1924 in Mill Hall, PA daughter of the late Harry C. & Nettie M. (VanHorn) Allen. She was a graduate of Mill Hall High School. She and Paul R. Roby, Jr were married April 20, 1959 and celebrated 56 years together.

Family and friends are invited to call Friday, June 19, 2015 from 10 AM to 10:30 AM at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street, Troy, PA. Her service will be held at 10:30 AM with Reverend Garry Zuber of the First Baptist Church of Troy officiating. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Troy.

Cora was one of eleven children. She retired from the Troy Pennysaver and also was previously employed at the Troy Leather Factory. She enjoyed solving word search puzzles and collecting coins, glass eggs and dolls. She enjoyed the moments spent with her family and will be deeply missed by them and her many friends.

Survivors include her loving husband, Paul R. Roby, Jr., of Troy, a daughter and her forever friend June Roby & Steven Reifler, a granddaughter Nicole Roby of Nixa, MO., a sister Martha “Mickey” Chrzan of Pittsburgh, PA, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cora was predeceased by her parents, a son Staff Sergeant Gary L. Roby, USMC, and 10 siblings.

In lieu of flowers memorials in her memory may be made to the First Baptist Church of Troy, 160 Canton Street, Troy, PA 16947 or to Western Alliance Ambulance, 430 Canton Street, Troy, PA 16947 or to a charity of choice.
